Khat has a very aggressive and in-your-face sound. The rough, raw sounds lend the piece a more aggressive feel without losing a sense of melody. The genre is Drum and Bass with a neurofunk influence and a subtle swing feel. The song catches your attention with its unique mixture of sound and the atmosphere it creates. There are two main parts to the song – it starts with an ambient feel which establishes the atmosphere of the piece and builds up to a fuller drum and bass sound with more depth.
